Certainly, we provide unattended sea burials that include precise latitude and longitude coordinates, along with video documentation of the scattering of ashes at sea. Additionally, you have the option to share a prayer or a special note that our captain can recite during the ceremony. We also offer the choice of adorning the ceremony with flowers and wreaths. Even if you can’t be present physically, rest assured that we are dedicated to making this experience beautiful and dignified on your behalf.
Based on our extensive experience, we have found that the USPS offers highly dependable express services for transporting cremains (ashes). If you happen to be situated locally in the New Hanover County area, we encourage you to get in touch with us to arrange pickup or drop-off.
You have the option to either mail the cremated ashes directly to us for unattended ceremonies or bring them with you when you attend the ceremony in person. Additionally, we provide pickup services to individuals within our designated service areas.
Upon receipt of the cremated remains, our commitment is to conduct all scatterings within a timeframe of 14 business days. If you require expedited service or have specific dates and locations in mind, we offer the option to make reservations to accommodate your preferences and ensure a timely and personalized experience.
Our dedicated captain will complete the Certificate of Scattering to be provided to you, which includes essential details such as the name of the deceased, latitude and longitude coordinates of the scattering location, and the date of the ceremony. We also offer the option to upgrade to a full video recording of the ceremony, providing you with a lasting and meaningful record of the event.
Whether you opt for an unattended or attended ceremony, our practice is to venture approximately 3 miles offshore. We strongly recommend our basket ceremony, as it offers a truly beautiful way to bid your final farewell. During this ceremony, after the remains are released into the water, we perform up to five circling passes around them. The entire ceremony, from start to finish, typically takes around 90-120 minutes.
Certainly, we can work directly with your preferred funeral home or crematoriums to streamline the process of receiving the cremated remains. Additionally, we have formed partnerships with numerous funeral homes, making us their primary choice for sea scattering services. Our collaborative relationships with these professionals ensure a seamless and efficient experience for families during this important time.
You are encouraged to bring any that you would like, with the only stipulation being anything to be released into the ocean must be biodegradable. If you opt for the basket ceremony we include two dozen roses, but more flowers are always welcomed.

We consider it our responsibility to deliver a safe and dignified journey for all passengers on board. While tipping is entirely at your discretion, a standard tip of 20% is greatly appreciated for their hard work and commitment to making this experience meaningful and respectful.
